How I Overcame Imposter Syndrome........Step 1
I talk about imposter syndrome all the time, with everyone I meet. Anyone who will listen to me hears about it.......
Step 1: As my blog title is called, let's talk about it.....
But really, when I started talking about it, everyone was telling me they experience it too!
It used to surprise me, now I just love getting insight into how it affects others and how they overcome it too or not.
It feels like a new phenomenon, but it's not, it may have had a different name in the past, but I believe people have always experienced it.
It was first coined in 1978 (Clance, P.R. & Imes, S.A.), but we all know the feeling, fake, fraud, not good enough, I will get found out, they made a mistake, but feeling like an imposter goes deeper somehow.
For one, you are not an imposter, you just perceive you are. Imposters want to deceive you, but you are trying to get on with it.
This is why talking about it demonstrates that you are not alone.
